Tsuei Ma-Ma Foundation (TMM) was established in 1989 and is a non-profit organization recognized by the Taipei City Department of Cultural Affairs.  Tsuei Ma-Ma has been certified as a consumer protection organization by the Consumer Protection Commission of the Executive Yuan. A consumer protection organization is an organization that is examined, given the title, and recommended by government offices on the basis of the Consumer Protection Law. The organization is involved in protecting consumers’ rights, promoting consumer education and dealing with consumer disputes. These missions are all officially recognized and legally sanctioned. Only 24 groups have been recognized as consumer protection organizations since 1994.

Tsuei Ma-Ma provides housing information services and recommends quality moving companies in the Taipei area. Also, we provide consultation regarding tenant-landlord affairs in the municipal area.

We also provide rental listings and information, including services for foreigners and students, and the quotations for the latest rental rates in different districts of Taipei. We also cooperate with the language centers of NTU and NTNU. In addition, we have created standardized rental agreements printed in English, Chinese and Japanese, which are available on the website for free.

In order to make sure that our foreign friends can best understand how to rent in Taiwan, Tsuei Ma-Ma has also made a checklist to remind tenants about everything associated with renting. The list includes the rental fee, security deposit, reasonable charges for electricity, water and natural gas, interior and exterior environment, equipment safety etc.

All moving companies we that recommend are examined and reevaluated every month through questionnaires and phone interviews. If a dispute happens during the move, Tsuei Ma-Ma’s volunteer groups will help deal with legal proceedings and arbitrate the dispute to protect the consumer’s rights.

We also provide an electronic flea market for used household goods and second-hand furniture.
